Supreme Court rulings
The Supreme Court allows the Republican Administration to continue using the Alien Enemies Act but said anyone to be removed must be given a court hearing. Chief Justice also temporarily stayed a ruling that the Republican Administration must return Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the US after he was erroneously deported. The Supreme Court also struck down a ruling to rehire federal workers on the ground that the groups that had sued the Republican Administration had no legal standing to do so.
