Dear Representative Huizenga,
I am writing to express my outrage over President Trump’s ongoing abuses of power, unconstitutional actions, and violent authoritarianism. Please stop supporting this corrupt and incompetent President. For the sake of our nation, I ask that you immediately move to impeach Trump for repeatedly defying the law and endangering the American people.
Additionally, I ask you to investigate and prosecute any government official who has participated in this administration’s illegal actions.
As you well know, Trump and his administration have repeatedly disregarded constitutional separation of powers since taking office. He has begun an unauthorized and illegal war with Iran and has repeatedly threatened to commit war crimes against the civilians of that country. He uses the Department of Justice to improperly and illegally punish his political enemies. He frequently declares fake emergencies in order to claim powers he does not have. He constantly attacks freedom of speech in violation of his solemn oath to uphold the constitution. Personal profiteering is off the charts while the watchdogs who are supposed to monitor for government corruption have been fired. These are but a few of a multitude of impeachable actions, not to mention his obvious cognitive issues regularly displayed in incoherent and belligerent speeches and social media rants. I’m sure you are well aware of all of the issues. The mystery is why you are not acting to protect our nation from this unstable and dangerous man.
